The DNP 4" x 6" Print Package for the RX1 Printer includes 2 rolls of dye sublimation paper, each long enough to print 700 4" x 6" photos. The dye sublimation process uses a printing technique that spreads the dye across the paper in a ribbon-like fashion. When heat is applied, the dye is converted into a gas, and this gas is absorbed by a special receiving layer on the paper. The dye layers are then sealed into the paper, protecting the image from UV light, fingerprints, and even water. There is no smudging, running, or staining because the prints are dry and ready to touch immediately upon exiting the printer. DNP dye sublimation media can create a total of 16.7 million true colors and produce stunning natural images.
